Dreambored is an indie pop band from San Antonio, Texas, the duo of married couple Angela Guerra Walley and Mark Lee Walley. Angela and Mark's decade-long collaborative work as filmmakers is highly influential on their songwriting and album production. Angela's lyrical storytelling and Mark's film score production experience blends together to create an emotionally evocative and cinematic pop sound.
After the 2018 death of Angela's father, Luis Angel Guerra, "Loved Ones", Dreambored's 2020 debut album, became an outlet for the band to express their grief and healing. The overarching theme of "Loved Ones" is heartbreak, with songs based on the band's personal experience with loss as well as heartaching stories shared with them by close friends and family. Despite the album's painful narrative, it is ultimately a cathartic 10-song experience that finds the light through all the darkness.
